Dr Alapatt interviewed eight military veterans living in the State of Kerala in 1981: K Prabhakaran Nair, T V Sukumaran, A G Panikulam, K S Vasu, M A Chandrasekaran, Thadicaran Lona Antony, Plakattil Chathan Pengan and A O Kuriappan. His report contains his impressions of each man.

Interviewed by George K Alapatt on 26th September 1981. K Prabhakaran Nair was in the Indian Army from 1941 to 1968, and was in the 23rd Infantry Division, Signal Regiment. He served in Burma (was at the Battle of Kohima) and Singapore during the Second World War.
