- Letter of Menon to his brother Hermocrates informing him that the horse which Hermocrates had sent to him has not been delivered by a Jew whose name he does not know. The request of buying some purple dye for himself and his wife is added as a postscript. Docket and address on the back.

Fragment of a papyrus sheet, broken off to the left, lacking the right edge from line 4 downwards (front), and with some damage along the horizontal folds; written on both sides. The front bears 12 lines. On the back there are traces of two lines in the left corner and then one word, written across the fibres the other way up in relation to the text on the front. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.
