62 fragments of varying size from a papyrus roll, with writing on one side along the fibres. The fragments generally come from the mid portion of columns, with the exception of fragment 35, which preserves the upper portion of a column. The height of the column is unknown; each line contained an average of with 14-15 letters, for a column width of approximately 50 mm. The intercolumn measures 15-20 mm and the upper margin survives to 17 mm (see fragment 35).
The fragments are mounted on cardboard in three frames, named Papyrus 2470(1), Papyrus 2470(2), and Papyrus 2470(3).
