Golden Temple in Kwa Bahal is situated north of Patan Durbar Square. This Buddhist monastery was allegedly found in the 12th century and has existed in its current form since 1409. The temple gets its name from the gilded metal plates that cover most of its facade.
Bag Durbar as seen from atop the Dharahara. The complex to the south of the palace is the Central Prison. A sizeable portion of the Valley's food supply was grown on the fertile land along the Bagmati river.
Patan Durbar Square, located un the heart of Lalitpur City. Most of the shrines and temples were built during the Malla period from the 11th to the 18th century.
