Most of the text is devoted to listing the documents produced before the Committee. Evidence was heard from Padre Rafael concerning his imprisonment at Firzabad in March 1768.
Concerning the deposition of Mir Jafar and installation of Mir Kasim. Carnac had left India with Clive, but at St Helena received orders to return, doing so just after the start of the upheaval.
Statement and interrogation of Dudley concerning a letter agreed in the Secret Committee prior to Clive's arrival in India.
Scope & Content:
The document is highly abbreviated. The letter apparently was in the Company cypher and there are references to sending it to "Mr W" [Watts?]. It seems probable that it related to the inland trade.
