Scope & Content:
Portion of a donation of a plot of land located near the village of Thynis made by a man whose name is lost to a Christian lay confraternity (philoponeion).

Extent:
Two fragments of varying size from a light-brown papyrus, broken off at the top, bottom and lacking most of its left-hand side. Writing runs across the fibres on one side, the back being blank. The left fragment preserves the beginnings of 4 lines and the left margin, which measures c. 20 mm; the right fragment contains the ends of 25 lines and the right margin; a sheet-join runs along the width of the papyrus at c. 70 mm from the top. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.

Petition from an agricultural worker to a bishop, asking for help against the claims of the Arab governor, who had asked him to deliver three horses and two mules.

Papyrus sheet, lacking the lower right corner and damaged by small insect holes throughout; written on both sides. On the back, there are two lines written in the upper part of the sheet along the fibres; the front bears 14 lines running against the fibres, with lines 8-13 lacking the ends. Margins are minimal; the right is preserved up to line 7; the left is torn at the bottom. A sheet-join runs along the width in the middle of the sheet. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.

Papyrus slip, medium-brown, with darker patches; complete but damaged along the left edge, with minor abrasion and few small holes at the top; written on one side, the back being blank. The front bears 4 lines running against the fibres, complete; margins are extant. The papyrus is mounted on cardboard in a glass frame.

On the front, there are 17 lines from one column lacking the top and the foot, with only few traces of line 17; traces of a preceding column are visible in the left margin, opposite lines 3-4. On the back, there are remains of few lines. The papyrus is housed in a glass frame.
