- OFFICIAL CORRESPODENCE and papers of Robert Gunning (afterwards Sir Robert, K.B.) ; 1766-1777. Gunning succeeded W. Titley. (see above) as Envoy Extraordinary at Copenhagen in 1766. In 1771 he was appointed Envoy Extraordinary at Berlin, whence he was transferred in 1772 in a like capacity to St. Petersburg. He retired in 1776.
