Stud Farm, Padnalls [Padnell's Corner], Essex. Stud farm, house and garden leased by the East India Company from John Towgood in 1802 for a term of 14 years. The Company let the house and garden in 1809 to Archibald Duff for the remainder of the term.
Estate adjoining East India House to the west, consisting of five houses, two warehouses and a yard. The East India Company purchased the freehold in 1800 from the Beckford family for £5,000, and an underlease of part of the premises in 1802 from Samuel Stratton and James Gibson for £4,000.
