Four houses in Lime Street purchased by the East India Company in March 1796 from Thomas Vincent for £1,500 as part of the scheme to enlarge East India House and widen the northern end of Lime Street.
Three houses on the east side of the gateway to Allen's Court purchased by the East India Company in 1771, two from Bennett Hoskyns and his wife Elizabeth for £1,000, and one from Nathaniel Barrett for £500.
