Letters 99-100 William Kinloch, Consul at Aleppo to Robert James forwarding packets for the Company

Received overland 24 September 1765, letter No. 9, B. The letter of 19 July 1765 reports that a previous packet had missed the Courier at Constantinople by one day, but that on this occasion it had a lucky escape as the Courier on departing there had been plundered of all his packets.
Letter 99 Note from Samuel Dodd's in reply to a query stating that the Company is not able to seize goods in foreign states which are being sold in breach of the act for settling the trade to the East Indies.
Letter 30 James Du Bois at St Helena to the Court complaining that he has been superseded to the post of Chief Surgeon on the Island and that unless this is rectified he will be compelled to resign his post and return to England.
