At the request of the Commander in Chief [Lord Combermere] the regiments of the Bengal Army are allowed to display on their regimental colours the names of all the successful actions in which they were engaged, from the earliest times to the present.
The Bengal Government object to a suggestion of the Commander in Chief [Lord Combermere] that N.C.O.s of King's Regiments should be appointed to the 1st Bengal European Infantry - they express no objection however to such N.C.O.s serving with Native Regiments.
