Each entry gives the number allocated to the letter, its date, sender or recipient and a brief summary of its content. Some of the lists state that the letters were written to Clive, others do not state whether they were sent to or from Clive.
Summary of statements made by various parties including Clive and Harry Sykes.
Scope & Content:
It is possible that the statements were made at hearings of the Committee for East India Company Affairs. The summaries are associated with numerals which might be page references, if so suggesting that the summaries were made from an official transcript.
Summaries of letters sent to and by the Select Committee, also including some notes of the proceedings of Select Committee meetings.
Scope & Content:
Most of the notes are very brief. Some of the lists seem to be drafts as entries have been crossed through. Some possibly in Clive's handwriting. Some duplicates.
