Each copy comprises 17 sheets with a small index sheet. Covers the region north and west of the line: Hwaiking (懷慶) – Weihui (衛輝) – Changte (Anyang) (彰德(安陽)) – Tzechow (磁州). Shows relief, hydrology, settlements and roads. Place-names are given in Wade-Giles romanisation.

Covers part of the coast of eastern Hadhramaut around Mukalla and Raida, extending inland to include Shibam. Comprises sheet 14 of the topographic series 'India and Adjacent Countries' with manuscript additions showing aircraft landing grounds and a seaplane anchorage.

Covers an area north and south of Changte (彰德). Comprises lithographed and dyeline copies of a three sheet set. Shows relief with form lines and spot heights, cuttings and embankments, roads and railways, settlements and provincial and hsien (縣) boundaries. Place-names are given in Chinese.

The maps relate to the built-up areas along the northern margin of Hong Kong Island, and the Kowloon Peninsula south of Mong Kok.The material was produced to illustrate a possible gridding error on a new map. The scale statement applies to the 2 manuscript sheets.
