1942: Letters from the Government of India regarding the number of Junior Civil Servants for the Bengal Presidency for the year 1866, and the numbers to be assigned respectively to Bengal and to the North Western Provinces, the Punjab and Oudh

1966: Communication from the Government of the Punjab regarding a Power of Attorney executed by the heirs of Mudjaram Mohumalo Vokatrio, a British subject who died in Russia in 1833, in favour of Her Britannic Majesty's Consul at St Petersburg

The collection consists of a copy of the Foreign (General) letter received from India, No.10 of 1864, dated 14 July 1864; and a letter from the Secretary to the Government of the Punjab, to the Secretary to the Government of India, Foreign Department, dated 21st June 1864
1987: Report by M Kempson, Director of Public Instruction, North Western Provinces, on the Native Presses in the North Western Provinces for the year 1864

2008: Papers regarding a recommendation by the Government of Bombay of a proposal by the British India Steam Navigation Company to establish, in lieu of the present arrangement, a bi-monthly postal service between Bombay and the Persian Gulf, and to perform the service for a subsidy of 160,000 rupees per annum

2047: Report by Dr C Palmer, Presidency Surgeon, Bengal, on the Cattle Disease (or Epizootic) which appeared about the time the Agricultural Exhibition was held at Alipore in January 1864

1991: Papers regarding a claim preferred by four civil servants appointed under the competitive system to a refund of the retrenchment made from their salaries under the provision of Act 33 Geo:3 Cap:52 Sec:57

The collection includes a copy of the Financial letter received from India, No.146 of 1865, dated 8 September 1865. The four civil servants were J W Smyth, J D Sandford, C Robertson and J W Quinton.
2102: Appeal from Dr Arthur Payne against the order for the refund by him of the salary drawn as Medical Superintendent of Emigrants for Mauritius for the period during which he officiated in the additional office of Emigration Agent at Calcutta for that Colony
