King Edmund grants 30 hides (mansae) at Badby, Dodford and Everdon, Northamptonshire, to Bishop Ælfric (of Ramsbury or Hereford); dated 944, with English bounds (Sawyer, no. 495). Endorsed in a 12th-century hand, ‘Badebi’; and in a 13th-century hand, ‘Baddebi’.
