- 1522: Correspondence regarding the arrival at Calcutta by the ship Pondicherry from Reunion of two return Emigrants, named Mahabeer Gunput and Daloo Khan, who were both allowed to leave the Colony without any official papers showing the reasons of their being sent back to India, and one of whom averred that, owing to a dispute with his employer about the non-payment of wages, he was imprisoned for a whole month, and then summarily compelled to quit the Colony
