- The letter relays reports received from Shaik Rashd's [Sheikh Rashid] people of an English vessel seen off Julfar [Rā’s al Khaima]. It is believed to be the Wolf and reported to have twenty survivors from Defiance, which blew up on 15 November 1767, on board.
