Literary papers and correspondence (spanning 1936-1955), including papers relating to March's involvement with the journal Poetry London (as financial backer and Director of Editions Poetry London Ltd).
In addition, there are two issues of the Antiquarian Book Monthly Review (1979) featuring, in two parts, a bibliographical essay by Alan Smith, 'Poetry London 1939-1951' (Smith was given access to March's Poetry London papers by Anne March, wife, prior to their purchase by the British Library).
March's correspondents include: Ronald Duncan, F R Leavis, Anthony Dickins, Kathleen Raine, Roy Campbell, Nicholas Moore, Lynette Roberts, and M J T Tambimuttu. Poetry London material includes: correspondence with contributors to T S Eliot: A Symposium (Editions Poetry London, 1948), including many contributions as submitted and two letters from Eliot; a file of various administrative and financial records; and three albums of review cuttings arranged according to Editions Poetry London publication. In addition, the collection contains a surrogate of William Empson, 'The Face of the Buddha' (1948).
