This fonds consists of digital copies of photographs taken by Boris A. Madatian in and around Tabriz, Iran from c 1925-c 1979 [roughly the period covered by the Pahlavi I and II dynasties]. The photographs were digitised as part of the project 'EAP001 Faces and Places in Iran: Iranian Photography at the Turn of the 20th Century'.
The collection consists of portrait photographs of Madatian's family and photographs taken during the EAP001 project showing the project holder Alexandru Balesescu and Boris Madatian's family in the family home. These latter images indicate how the framed photographs were arranged within the house.
