This fonds consists of digital images of a sample of the photographic collection currently held by the Mitra Photography Shop in Tehran, Iran. The photographs were digitised as part of the project EAP001 Faces and Places in Iran: Iranian Photography at the Turn of the 20th Century.
The photographs primarily consist of group and individual portraits, taken in and around Tehran between 1324-1340H [1906/07-1921/22]. Unfortunately, information about the provenance, context and subjects of most of the photographs is unknown; the information presented in this catalogue is therefore necessarily incomplete.
