This collection consists of digitial images of one manuscript owned by Kak Putri of Lingom, Samahani, Aceh Besar regency, Indonesia. The complete collection covers 51 manuscripts and cover a range of subjects, including Islamic law, Sufism, theology, astrology, history and prophecy. The collection dates approximately from 1600-1900, and was passed down to Kak Putri by her ancestors. Kak Putri keeps the manuscripts in her house as she believes their presence protects the house from earthquakes.

Manuscript EAP229/2/1 was digitised as part of the pilot project EAP229 Acehnese manuscripts in danger of extinction: identifying and preserving the private collections located in Pidie and Aceh Besar regencies. The rest of the material was digitised during the follow-up major project EAP329 Digitising private collections of Acehnese Manuscripts located in Pidie and Aceh Besar regencies.

- Material in this fonds were selected for digitisation by the EAP229 and EAP329 projects
- Administrative Context:
- EAP229 and EAP329 were funded by the Endangered Archives Programme. The pilot project produced a survey of manuscripts held by private collectors throughout the Pidie and Aceh Besar regencies, alongside a sample of digitised manuscripts. The EAP329 project built on this information to digitise further material.
