This fonds consists of digital images of one manuscript owned by Teungku Amir at Teupin Rayan, Pidie regency, Indonesia. Teungku Amir's full collection consists of 152 manuscripts, handed down to Teungku Amir by his relatives, or purchased from other collectors. The manuscripts deal with Isamic law, Sufism, Arabic grammar, prophecy and literature, and date from 1600-1900.

Manuscript EAP229/5/1 was digitised as part of the project EAP229 Acehnese manuscripts in danger of extinction. The rest of the material was digitised as part of the follow-up major project EAP329 Digitising private collections of Acehnese manuscripts located in Pidie and Aceh Besar regencies. The original manuscripts were collected and inherited by Teungku Amir.

EAP229 and EAP329 were funded by the Endangered Archives Programme. The pilot project produced a survey of manuscripts held by private collectors thoughout the Pidie and Aceh Besar regencies, and a sample of digitised materials. The EAP329 project built on this information to digitise more materials.
