The digital images in this collection were created as part of the project EAP001 Faces and Places in Iran: Iranian Photography at the Turn of the 20th Century. The original photographs were taken by employees of the Anglo Persian Oil Company, and as such form part of the BP Archive collection. Material from the collection was scanned and given to the Iranian Oil Ministry for use in the Oil Museum at some point in the 1990s.
