Collection of mementos of John W Steadman, Secretary to the Indian Prisons Commission that undertook a world tour in 1919-20 to study prison conditions.

2. invitations to private functions with various governors and temporary membership cards for a number of clubs, including an invitation to a reception for the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester at the India Office in 1937.
