This Collection comprises digital copies of two texts, copied as part of the EAP071 Archiving texts in Sylhét Nāgri script project. The texts have been copied from original printed volumes. Both are undated and written in Bengali, in Sylhét Nāgri script. One of the texts is the Hālatunnabi, which deals with the life of the Prophet. The other text, Haribamsa, tells the love story of the Hindu deities Krisna and Rādhā.

The digital images in this collection were created as part of the project: EAP071 Archiving Texts in Sylhét Nāgri Script. At this time the originals were held by Manir Uddin Laskar of Kachudaram, who obtained them from a relative. The texts were collected for copying courtesy of Nijām Uddin Majumdār and Sāmsul Haq.

- Material in this Collection was selected for digitisation by the EAP071 Project.
- Administrative Context:
- EAP071 was funded by the Endangered Archives Programme. The project located and digitally copied 68 texts from 29 Collections in the Sylhét Nāgri script through field trips in the districts of Cachar, Karimganj and Hailakandi in south Assam and Dharmanagar and Tripura near Silchar.
