This Collection comprises digital copies of four texts, copied as part of the EAP071 Archiving Texts in Sylhét Nāgri Script project. The texts have been copied from original hand written volumes. All four volumes are undated and written in Bengali, in Sylhét Nāgri script. They deal with Islamic religious themes. Three are compilations of songs. The other text is a narration of the life of the Prophet.

The digital images in this collection were created as part of the project: EAP071 Archiving Texts in Sylhét Nāgri Script. At this time, the original volumes were held by Suraj Āli who inherited them from his father. The texts were obtained for copying courtesy of Muzāmmil Āli Laskar and Āli Ahmed of Badabhāuri, Swādhinbājār, South Mohanpur, Cāchār, Āssām.

- Material in this Collection was selected for digitisation by the EAP071 Project.
- Administrative Context:
- EAP071 was funded by the Endangered Archives Programme. The project located and digitally copied 68 texts from 29 Collections in the Sylhét Nāgri script through field trips in the districts of Cachar, Karimganj and Hailakandi in south Assam and Dharmanagar and Tripura near Silchar.
