One-line captions on each folio written in Khmer script with pencil accompany 203 drawings of scenes from the Ramayana (in Thai Ramakien, and in Khmer Reamker or Ramakerti), the Vessantara Jataka, the other nine of the last ten Jataka, and one scene from the Life of the Buddha.
Illustrations: Lavish illustrations with drawings in black ink and grey shades of water-colour and coloured water-colour paintings. The drawings and paintings are in the Thai style of the Rattankosin period (started in 1782 AD) and resemble reliefs of the Ramakien at Wat Phra Chetuphon (Wat Pho) in Bangkok dating back to the reign of King Rama III (r.1824-51).
