1. ff. 1-35. Sonata no.3 in E minor, op.57, for violin and piano (‘Sonata epica’); 1948. Photocopy of the composer’s pencil score, written over in ink by his wife, with annotations in pencil and ink, some autograph. The sonata was composed circa 1935-8. The annotations mainly correspond with those added to the original manuscript (presently Music Loan 69.10) after the photocopy was made. Inscribed ‘To my dear friend Arthur Alexander, 9th June 1948’ (f. 1).
