MS Mus. 1562. Princess Elizabeth’s Songbook: A selection of music owned by Elizabeth, 3rd daughter of George III, afterwards Landgravine and Princess of Hesse Homburg; 1795. Ink scores, copies, in various hands. With English, French, German and Italian words. Inscribed on engraved passepartout title page, f. 1r, ‘Her Royal Highness The Princess Elizabeth 1795’. The music is mostly for solo high voice with accompaniment for keyboard instrument. In some cases the accompaniment is wanting, though a blank stave has been left for it. Purchased from Adam Weinberger, 29 April 2004.
