DANCES AND MARCHES; early 18th cent. The bass parts or melodies of 36 marches, 14 minuets and 30 miscellaneous pieces, in various eighteenth-century hands. On f. 4v, reversed, is a table entitled ‘Example of all the Flatts & Sharps’. Bound with The Compleat Dancing-Master’s Companion ... made for Her Majesty’s Birth-Day, 1709. The Seventh Book (Printed by W. Pearson, [1709]). Only the margin of f. 1 remains. On the flyleaves are written monetary calculations and part of a calendar. Purchased, May 1969.
pp. 22 + ff. ii+30, with an older continuous pagination in pencil. 96 x 195mm. Contemporary full leather binding with gold stamped decoration.
