FRENCH SONGS; first half of 19th cent. With pianoforte accompaniment (except to no. 13), in score. Bound before and after a collection of printed editions of duets for musettes and vielles by Tolou, Boismortier, Chedeville and Naudot: nos. 1-13 are inserted at the beginning of the volume, nos. 14-24 at the end. Ownership inscription of ‘E. Vernier, Elève du Conservatoire de Paris’ (f. 1). The binding, which predates the MS. additions, is stamped ‘Mr du Moustier de Ste Marie, Capitaine des Cuirassier’. Purchased, 15 May, 1899.
