HUNTER-WESTON PAPERS. Diaries, etc., of Lieutenant-General Sir Aylmer Gould Hunter-Weston, K.C.B. (b. 1864, d. 1940); 1914-1919. Add. MSS. 48355-48362 are his official war diaries (drafts or copies, mostly typewritten) with related orders, reports, etc. Add. MSS. 48363-48368 comprise private war diaries (partly typewritten) compiled from her husband's papers by Grace, Lady Hunter-Weston, and include inserted letters, photographs, maps, etc. The diaries relate to Hunter-Weston's command of the 11th Infantry Brigade in the 4th Division in France and Belgium, of the 29th Division in Gallipoli, and of the VIII Army Corps in France, etc. Other papers of Gen. Hunter-Weston are in the National Army Museum (see National Register of Archives, List of Accessions to Repositories in 1965, 1966, p. 48). Fourteen volumes. Folio and quarto. Bequeathed by Lieutenant- General Sir Aylmer Hunter-Weston and reserved from public use until 1964. Arranged as follows:-
