Chiefly pencil autograph drafts and copies. Partly French. Captain Williams (b.1857, d.1938) spent much of his career campaigning in Africa, serving in South Africa in 1879 and 1900-1902, Uganda in 1890-1893 and the Sudan in 1898: from 1895-1897 he was Vice-Consul, Asia Minor.
