Vellum and paper; ff. 130. Composite volume. Largest size 165 x 120mm. Thirteen irregular gatherings of between 6 and 18 leaves each; in i18 2, 3, 5, 8, 11, 14, 17 are paper. Written in various 14th cent. cursive book hands, in single and double columns, with some capitals decorated with red and blue pen work and some headings and initials in red. Original limp vellum binding. 163 x 130mm.

1. ff. 6-19. Lawrence of Aquilegia, 'Practica sive usus dictaminis'.
2. ff. 20-37. John of Sacrobosco, 'Compotus' and 'Algorismus'.
3. ff. 37v-48. Grammar and 'Divisio septem artium'.
4. ff. 48-57v, 67, 77v-129. 'Lectiones', 'questiones', and sermons.
5. ff. 58-61. 'Secreta mulierum minor liber', and part of 'Secretum secretorum'.
6. ff. 61v-66. Cosmological poem from the life of St Michael. See The Early South-English Legendary or Lives of the Saints, Early English Text Society, 87 (1887), pp. 311-322.
7. ff. 67v-77v. Excerpts from the 'Controversiae' of Seneca the Elder.
