PILGRIM’S PROGRESS: music manuscripts, correspondence and papers relating to the composition and staging of Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress, dramatised by Mrs W. Hadley and Miss E. Ouless, with incidental music by Ralph Vaughan Williams, and to the St. Valentine String Orchestra, conducted by Vaughan Williams; 1903-1974. The dramatisation was first performed at Reigate Priory, Surrey, Dec. 1906, with subsequent performances in London in 1907 and 1908. Further autograph manuscripts of the music are Add. 50418, 50419.
