The map is oriented with NE at the top and shows fields, numbered in sequence; banks, and 'rifes' and ditches are coloured according to a note 'The banks coloured brown are above the level and not included in the quantities mentioned in the book of reference. The rifes and ditches coloured blue are under the level but not included in the quantities'. Edward Fuller produced a number of different types of local maps for Cheshire, Devon, Middlesex, and Sussex, and lived in Chichester 1820-1850. See P.
