With pencil annotations, some in Coleridge-Taylor's hand, and conductor's markings in blue crayon. First performed 24 May 1899. See W. C. Berwick-Sayers, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Musician: his Life and Letters (1927), p. 74. String parts published Novello & Co., 1900; see partially erased note (f. 1): 'Strings to engrave first. Send each part directly it is done.' Arrangement for violin and piano by Theo Wendt published by Novello & Co., 1900.
