PETER WELLS PAPERS: correspondence and papers of Peter J. Wells (b.1919), poet, editor and painter; 1934-1993, n.d. Partly printed. Some poems by Peter Wells and others are included. The correspondence relates mainly to Wells's work as co-editor of the literary periodicals Poetry Folios and The Adelphi, the publication of his own poems, and the pacifist agricultural communities founded by the Adelphi Group at The Oaks, Langham, and Frating Hall in Essex. One volume (Add. 71235) contains material relating to Cosmoplis, the Society based on H. G. Wells's Open Conspiracy, of which Peter Wells was a founder member. Presented by Peter Wells, Esq., Oct. 1993.
