1. ff. 1-7. Ralph Vaughan Williams: corrections to the 'Sea Symphony'; 1951, 1958. Autograph in ink, with a typewritten letter to the conductor John Russell (f. 1) and a printed commemorative postage stamp (f. 2) featuring Vaughan Williams, apparently affixed to the letter after the composer's death. For other MSS relating to the symphony see Add. MSS 50361-6. See also M. Kennedy, A Catalogue of the Works of Ralph Vaughan Williams (Oxford, 1996), pp. 48-53.
2. ff. 8-11. Gerald Finzi: 'A Lullaby' (Greek folksong), arranged for unaccompanied chorus by Gerald Finzi, translation by M. D. Calvocoressi; n.d. Autograph, in ink. Score, with piano part 'for practice only'.
3. ff. 12-20. Gerald Finzi: 'Concerto for piano & strings, II'; n.d., [early 1920s?]. Version for 2 pianos. This movement was subsequently extracted and revised and is now known as 'Eclogue'.
4. ff. 21-28. Gerald Finzi: 'Concerto for piano & strings III Grand Fantasia'; n.d., [late 1920s?]. Full score. 'Attacco IV' at end (f. 28). This movement was subsequently extracted and revised as part of Finzi's 'Grand Fantasia and Toccata'.
