With a collection of 23 photographs (several duplicated) of places mentioned in A. E. Housman’s A Shropshire Lad, accompanied by quotations from it (ff. 1-39), and 5 photographs of the composer and his house (ff. 43-47, 123). Also a letter to Sams from Helen Orr, the composer’s widow, a letter to Orr from Christopher Palmer, forwarded to Sams, and copies of letters to Orr from Joseph Rawlins, Ailwyn Best and Desmond Shawe-Taylor.
