John Charles Herries. Correspondence of John Charles Herries M.P., relating to the upbringing, marriage and later life of his daughter Fanny (d. 1849); 1808-1849, some twentieth-century notes. Fanny was the daughter of Laure, a women whom Herries met while studying at Leipsig. She was brought up in the household of Baron Limberger, and later married Philip Jacob Passavant, a merchant; both later settled in England. English, French and German. Purchased from Cobnar Books, Wateringbury, Maidstone, Dec. 1996.
