Scope & Content:

Papers presented with the Stefan Zweig Collection of musical, literary and historical autograph manuscripts (Zweig MSS. 1 - 206) and relating to the acquisition of manuscripts in the Collection by Zweig and his heirs. Mainly German. Comprising Zweig's own record cards, correspondence and related papers, and photographs of the manuscripts made before their presentation to the British Library. For microfilm of the manuscripts in the collection made before their presentation to the British Library see MF ****. Some material relates to items no longer in the Collection at the time of its presentation to the British Library, or to items offered to but not acquired by Zweig and his heirs. Presented by the Trustees of the Stefan Zweig Collection, 21 April 1986 and 19 April 1993 (Add. 73184). Incorporated 1997.
