William Baillie-Grohman. Correspondence of, and relating to, William Adolph Baillie-Grohman (b. 1851, d. 1921), writer on sports and shooting; 17th century – 1914, n.d. Partly French, partly Italian, partly German. The correspondence relates to Baillie-Grohman’s interest in sporting prints and drawings, his large collection of which was sold at Sotheby’s in 1923. In 1913 he wrote a book on the subject, Sport in Art. Transferred from the National Portrait Gallery, April 1998.
