DONINGTON, CO. LINCS.: 'Plan and Description of Sundry Exchanges in the Eaudike and Gowt Fields, made between the Trustees of Mr Cowley's Charity Estate & others in the year 1797. Donington 1804'. No surveyor named. One map. Manuscript. Scale of 16 chains to 5.5 inches [i.e.1:2304] 52 x 66 cm on sheet measuring 53 x 69 cm. Ink and watercolour on vellum. Prickmarks. Extensive written details on the exchanges on the left side and base of the plan. The plan details the consolidation of land holdings through the exchange of strips on an open field system near Boston. Lands received by the Trustees are shown in blue with the names of the previous owners but are not numbered. The strips and plots surrendered by the Trustees are shown in red and are numbered.
