Harold Monro. Papers of, and rel. to, Harold Edward Monro, poet and bookseller (b. 1879, d. 1932); c. 1865-1990. Many of the papers in Add. 80798 and 80799 are photocopies or transcripts of manuscripts some of which are either lost or whose whereabouts are unknown. The copies were prepared by Ruth Tomalin, who wrote the preface to a 1970 edition of Monro’s collected poems and who intended to write a biography of Monro. Collections of Monro’s papers are at Add. 57734-57768 and 83357-83382. Presented by Dominic Hibberd, Sept. 1996.
