PETITIONS from natives of Great Britain and Ireland, chiefly Roman Catholics, resident in France, in the French service or attached to the family of the Pretender, addressed principally to [Louis de la Vergne de Tressan], successively Bishop of Nantes and Archbishop of Rouen, Chief Almoner to the Regent Duke of Orléans, and praying for pensions "sur les économats;" 1721-1726, with a few of 1780.
