1. TRACTATUS de naturis rerum, in quatuor "particulas" divisus. Imperfect at the beginning. Printed, but with considerable variations and without the diagrams, under the title, "Philosophicarum et astronomicarum institutionum Guilielmi Hirsaugiensis olim abbatis libri tres," at Basle, in 1531; and also, more fully, among the spurious works of Bede in Migne's "Patrologiæ Cursus," torn. xc. col. 1127. According to the "Histoire littéraire de la France," tom. xii. p. 457, the work is the "Philosophia Minor" of Guillaume de Conches, to whom it is attributed also in Royal MS.
9 A. xiv. f. 257, and Add. MS. 26,770, f. 46 b; in the latter, tinder the title, "Summa Magistri Willelmi de Conchis de naturis rerum." f. 2.
Imperfect, wanting several leaves before the last, f. 146. Attributed in Arundel MS. 142, where it is preceded by a short preface, to Albertus Magnus; but, according to Quétif and Echard, "Seriptores ordinis Prædicatorum," tom. i. pp. 183, 251, more probably the work of Thomas de Cantimprato. See, however, the "Histoire littéraire de la France," tom. xix. p. 183. f. 34. Vellum; xiiith cent. At the end is the name of Ruppracht von Karbon. Small Quarto.
