Vellum; of the end of the xvth cent. With borders in the Flemish style, and with blank spaces for the insertion of miniatures. The calendar is ornamented with borders, and has miniatures representing scenes from the Bible, and the domestic and agricultural occupations of the successive months, some being unfinished, closing with one of a scheme of the influences of the zodiacal signs on the different parts of the human body; finely executed by a German artist in the xvith cent. In the border at the foot of the scheme is written in pencil, by a modern hand, "Anton Dietrich, Edler von Berghausen, den 18 Aprill, 1508." It belonged in 1536 to Dr. Laurencius Wildhelm, and in 1597 to his son Mercurius; and subsequently, in 1713, to the Jesuits' College at Osnaburg. In the old binding. Small Octavo. From the Farnborough Fund.
