JOURNALS of voyages to the East Indies, viz.:-

1. A few notes of avoyage in the ship "Samaritan," one of the East India Company's fleet, commanded by Captain David Middelton, 1615; preceded by notes on the use of nautical instruments, etc., signed by Rowland Thomas, and other memoranda, among which is the "anatomy " of Francis Nelson, master of the ship "Resolution," who died 2 Dec. 1612, f. 1.

2. "A treue Relation of my voyadge intended by God grace for Succadanie, Potane and Jappan, in the good shipp caulled the Hosiander," 11 Apr.-7 Sept. 1615; continued by "my voyadge now bouind for Ossica, Meaco, and Surungona," 11 Sept. 1615-13 Mar. 1616, f. 13.

3. "A Journall begone the 9th of February, 1615, wherein I intend (by God's assistance) to record all such things as are worthie observation in this our intended voyage for Surratt and other places in the East Indies, with a fleett of 6 good shipps sett forth by the honorable East India companie," under command of Captain Benjamin Josep; to 24 Jan. 1616 [1617]. Preceded by some religious sentences; and including copies of letters, and, at the end, copies of commissions in favour of Alexander Child, captain of the ship "James;" 1616. f. 81.
