STATUTES of Santa Vittoria, in the province of La Marea, central Italy; in five books, each preceded by a table of chapters, beginning, "Incipiunt rubrice primi libri statutorum terre sancte Victorie tractantis de bono regimine dicte terre." At the end are added:-A notarial instrument stating that the statutes, drawn up by Ser Nicolas Colutii, notary, were read and approved in the presence of the inhabitants, 6 Feb. 1446 ; Lat.; f. 134 b;-- and a confirmation of the statutes by D[omenico Capranica], Cardinal- Bishop of Fermo, legate in the province; Macerata, 3 June, 1446; Lat.; with seal; f. 135 b. Inserted also is a letter from a monastery to [the magistrates of S. Vittoria ?]; S. Vittoria, 13 Nov. 1550; Ital.; f. 138. Vellum and paper. The writing on the vellum leaves overlies what appears to be an erased text of an earlier copy of the statutes. On f. 137 are the name and arms of Andreas Cencius, Arretinus, Potestas, anno 1543." ln the original binding of boards covered with leather, with brass studs. Quarto.
